The LM Air Handling Unit features a galvanized steel cabinet and stainless steel drain pan as standard, providing a lasting finish for the unit. The optional Tin Plated coil provides additional protection to most chemicals that may be present in the air stream. The LM condensing section features a painted steel cabinet as standard, providing an anti-corrosive finish. This section may be ordered without the closed cell insulation for outdoor applications.
The ECM (Electronically Commutated Motor) motors on this unit are extremely quiet while optional closed cell foam insulation provides additional sound attenuation. The air flow can be adjusted to suit a specific installation and will maintain rated CFM as the filter loads to ensure your highest level of comfort.
All LM Split condensing sections have a unique floating base for mounting the compressor. The compressor is mounted on a heavy steel plate which rests on a high density rubber pad on the base of the unit. In addition, compressors are mounted on rubber grommets. This double isolation, unique to FHP equipment and standard in all LM Split Systems, prevents vibration and noise transmission from the compressor to the unit structure resulting in exceptionally quiet operation.
Increased Flexibility in Installation
The LM split condensing section can be placed up to 75' distant from the air handler section, which allows for the installation to be in locations where space may be limited. Additionally, this allows the condensing section, which is the major contributor to noise and vibration, to be installed away from occupied areas. Multiple condensing units may be centrally located to facilitate servicing.
The location of the LM Split air handlers can be concealed within a variety of areas inside the building where it will connect to the system ducting to deliver conditioned air. This system allows the air handler to be installed in locations where it is not possible to route water piping. Air handling sections are available in vertical or horizontal configurations from 2 through 6 tons so there is a unit to meet your every need.
