The connection set is designed to connect the supply and return manifolds on the collector array with solar line sets. The on-roof connection set uses a flexible connector which adapts to copper piping.

Flat roof collector connection sets
The connection set is designed to connect the supply and return manifolds on the collector array with the solar line sets. The flat roof connection set uses a 90° elbow fitting, which adapts to copper piping.

Series connection sets
The series connection set allows piping two rows of collectors together. It consists of flexible lines that allow tight corners and it uses the same quick connects as the collectors. There is a separate series connection set for the FKT-1 and FKC-1; FKT-1 uses corrugated metal pipe, FKC-1 uses rubber hose.

Air vent sets
Solar heating systems consisting of 20 collectors or more should be vented via responsive air vent valves at the highest point of the system. However, for systems consisting of less than 20 collectors, an air vent is optional when operating the system using a high volume and high pressure filling station with air separator. Once filling has completed, the air vent valve must be closed to prevent evaporated heat transfer fluid from escaping the system in the event of stagnation.
