Return Request Guidelines for Wholesalers ONLY
Warranty claims are only valid for Heaters which are installed in the original location and owned by the original purchaser. For warranty issues, please call our Technical Services at 1-866-330-2730 (Gas) and 1-800-798-8161 (Electric). We will attempt to troubleshoot and solve the problem by sending replacement parts under warranty. If a determination is made that the unit cannot be repaired, our Technician will issue an "incident" number for returning the unit.
What the Contractor needs to do:
Do not remove any part or heater without receiving a Warranty Claim # from a Bosch technician.
Order the needed part or heater from the Distributor. Return the replaced item with a filled in Warranty Claim From (see attached form) to the Distributor. The following information is required by the service company:
- Warranty Claim #, which will be provided during the troubleshooting call with a Bosch technician
- Name, address and phone number of the product owner
- Name, address and phone number of the service company
- Model, serial number and gas type of the heater. Part number if a part is replaced
- Original installation date of the heater
- Description of the claim, including specifics on the nature of the problem with the product
The Distributor will then contact Bosch Water Heating with this form to file a claim.
What the Distributor needs to do:
- The customer must initially place an order for the needed part or heater. If the part or heater is not in-stock a purchase order will need to be submitted to Bosch Water Heating.
- Upon receiving the replaced part or heater from the customer, please add the Distributor location information (see attached form) and fax it to Bosch at 603-484-9180. The information provided by your customer is needed to process the claim, it should include the following:
- Name, address and phone number of the product owner
- Name, address and phone number of the service company
- Model, serial number and gas type of the heater. Part number if a part is replaced
- Original installation date of the heater
- Specifics on the nature of the problem with the product
- Once Bosch has received the above information and the claim is acknowledged, a RMA (Returned Materials Authorization number) will be provided to the Distributor. No credit can be applied without a RMA.
- Certain spare parts will not need to be returned and can be field scrapped, Bosch will immediately inform the Distributor of this depending on the part. All items that are requested for return must be returned to Bosch with a copy of the RMA.
- All credits are issued to the Distributor after receiving the part or heater with the RMA, or immediately if the part can be field scrapped.
- Any returned product must be clearly labeled with the RMA # on the outside of the box, then shipped to:
